Commitment
to Helping Others
Each year the Alexandria Singers “adopt”
an organization and coordinate a drive to collect
supplies at their concerts for that special group.
This season, the Singers collected supplies for
the City
of Alexandria’s Jefferson-Houston School
for the Arts
and Academics. Jefferson-Houston’s mission
is to “provide a superior instructional
program for all students that is integrated and
reinforced through the visual and performing arts.”
The school also provides a number of after-school
programs. The students in these programs can use
various school and art supplies to assist them
with their academic endeavors.
Jefferson-Houston parents sent the Alexandria
Singers a note of appreciation for the donations
collected at their holiday concert on December
7, 2003. (below)

our students.
